taken by jonathon, at ihop, right after his arrival in st louis. FANGS UP!!!!!!! note the cobra starship t-shirt.

the disappointing doughnut mixes right next to the disappointing doughnuts at donut drive-in. seriously, dunkin donuts doughnuts are better than this, and i KNOW that they are also made from a mix. but apparently there is hope: there will be dunkin donuts here within the year! www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/stories/2008/02/11/daily54.html

today the mattress for my futon arrived. it is very very black, and very very squishy. theodore jumped on it before it was even out of the plastic, so the first thing i did was push it up against one of the walls in the computer room and cover it with a sheet. he stayed [...]

this is a pink & orange scarf that moose knitted for me. it is very pretty, kind of scratchy, and smells (unexpectedly) like oregano.

knitting a sweater while watching the first season of bones. seeley booth, how are you so awesome??

bosnian baklava from the tiny cafe on the corner of my block called jasminka. it is so sweet, it’s hard to eat more than a bite of it. i had the same “problem” with the cookie i bought — lemon, honey, and so much sweetness that it took two shots of espresso to clear my [...]

i’ve been sitting in the same place on my bed for four hours, which means this has been my view for four hours, give or take the positions of three cats. every little while, i look up and think… “my apartment is HUGE.”

the first or second day that i lived here, all three cats disappeared. into where, you ask? why, into a HOLE in the WALL inside a closet! i totally freaked out because vincent and theodore came out, but shiksa stayed in, and i was worried she was stuck, but steph told me to leave her [...]

i went to this place that is around the corner from my apartment for a pedicure. it is a totally decent pedicure, exactly the kind of middle-of-the-road pedicure that one expects to get for $20 in a neighborhood like mine. the best part is that it is bright fucking pink like crazypants.

driving past tower grove park on my way to get a burrito. it is a mediocre burrito, but a pretty park. i like parks in the winter, when everything is sort of dead and brown and hibernating. it makes the springtime even more exciting, don’t you think?
