okay, perhaps using 70% dark chocolate to make pain au chocolat with the last of the croissant dough wasn’t very smart. it is overwhelmingly chocolate. on the other hand, i like it, so whatever.

WELL. i made croissants. they look like croissants, they smell like croissants, and they taste like croissants. they are kind of bland, and buttery, and have that weird flaky sponge in the center. srsly. i made croissants!

i took the extra money i made last week from working overtime to the grocery store, and bought $50 worth of fruits and vegetables. here is a fun fact: $50 does not buy a lot of fruits and veg. but it did partially buy this almost-too-ripe watermelon, which is delicious. also: mango, oranges, blueberries, cauliflower [...]

seriously, three hours. three hours, but i finally made a damn short row toe. TOE UP SOCKS, HERE I COME. i am seriously committed to learning how to do them. i just need to figure out how to make the numbers work to get the socks up over my knee or something. maybe not that [...]

today my packet of information from the national academy of beauty arts came. i am currently in the middle of a debate with myself about this: do i commit to the 18 months here, or do i wait and see if i am going to move to minneapolis in february? i don’t want to leave [...]

new shoes! they are vinyl and felt, and so so comfortable and adorable.

first we were delayed because of the weather. then we got on the plane. then there was more weather. then there was mechanical issues. then they made us get off the plane and get on another plane. seriously, idek. at least i had my ipod, all loaded up with cobra starship.

a few months ago, i made jozelle a blanket out of the most obnoxiously colored yarn i could find. then i had all this obnoxious yarn left over! now i am making myself a blanket — a giant granny square to go over my couch.
