octette

i’m tired.

my dad has spent the whole day watching the first season of doctor who, while nancy and i knit. it has been lovely, yet i am exhausted.

my new computer is here. it has a webcam built in to the monitor, which i used to take this picture. that’s pretty awesome. i keep trying to get a picture of vincent, but he moves away at the last minute each time.

i started my rosewarmers tonight, but i don’t like the way that the cabling on the edges pulls at the fabric, so i think i might redesign the pattern and start over again. it’s been suggested to me that i knit the cables at every 4th row instead of every 3rd row, but i’m thinking i might omit the cables altogether, or do every 8th row so that there’s a twist at the top of each diamond or something. i am not sure what i want; i will have to draw it out on graph paper, and then knit it up. i hate having to frog the malabrigo yarn, though, so whatever i pick, i’ll just knit it, and then if i don’t like it, i’ll buy more yarn and knit it again.

what is really upsetting is that i can’t find my nail clippers and my fingernails are way too long.
