getting paid (finally, after three weeks) was a freaking relief. money brings with it a trip to michael’s to buy art supplies. okay, to buy a coloring book and a packet of markers. (jozelle kindly organized the markers for me into the sequence of the visible light spectrum.)
i also found a book there full of crochet stitches. it is going to come in really handy — it has already come in really handy. i’ve found a couple of different stitches that i really like, that i am going to use to make a blanket for my dad and nancy for christmas. i’ve already stitched up about a skein and a half, and now my right arm feels like it’s going to fall off.
total extravagance: breakfast at denny’s, delicious ethiopian lunch at meskerem, chinese bakery delights for supper. tomorrow is back to cold cereal and bagels and millet.
