my boss gave me a paid vacation day for my last day of work at the hedge fund. i immediately packed up my hedge fund computer to be shipped back to them, got in my car, and drove to minneapolis. the drive took nine hours, because i got to drive 80 most of the way through iowa. (the cops zoomed past me doing at least 90.)
this is moose drinking a banana milkshake. for about ten minutes i was in a band called banana milkshake. we recorded a cover of elf power’s “o what a beautiful dream” and it was pretty good, for two girls in a dorm room in 1999. i’m sure i have a copy of the song somewhere, but i can’t think where it could be.
i’ll probably be in minneapolis until wednesday or thursday. i don’t even know. i don’t even really have a plan. it is glorious.
(surely it will remain glorious until one day not having a plan will just turn on a dime and become tedious.)

hee, i have thought the same thing! i am having an excellent time, except for that my spinning wheel will not spin. SADFACE :(
