moose is really good at spinning on a drop spindle and i am jealous.

i haven’t washed my hair since thursday. every day it looks better. i am so impressed by my hair!

tonight for supper i had a really spicy black bean burger, and a chocolate malted. the chocolate malted didn’t taste like anything except gross cold dairy, but the burger was great.

tomorrow moose and i are going to the fiber store so that i can buy a drop spindle to use to spin the fiber i bought the other day. i bought four oz of pink and four of orange, and i am going to ply them together and knit a scarf and maybe a hat if i have enough. i had wanted to spin the fiber on my spinning wheel, but the wheel is still not working. there’s a problem with the crank (it unscrews itself sometimes), and a problem with the treadle (which is really related to the problem with the crank), and a problem with the tension spring (when it makes the bobbin move, the wheel won’t SPIN). i keep saying this, but i really do need to email the guy who sold me the wheel. i need to know why the wheel is doing this, and if i can return it and get my money back.

if i can’t get my money back, i’m not sure what i am going to do with it. but i want to spin, so at some point when i have a job again, i’m going to buy another spinning wheel. this time i’ll save the money and buy a new one that i know will work. i don’t care if it’s a crappy one; i just want it to work so i can spin. ugh ugh ugh, i am working myself up into a lather.
