today’s theme is total exhaustion. i slept late, but had nightmares all night about bugs (gross), so i woke up exhausted. even after three cups of coffee and a biscuit i was exhausted. and it was a struggle to write — i had to plot and think and plan much more than i did last week, because i’m getting to the part of the book that is more sketchy than the beginning. so i churned out 7500 words, but it took almost six hours, because i had to keep thinking, rereading, editing, thinking. exhausting. even ordering pizza for supper was exhausting, because the pizza guy and i had to do a dance with the box and the receipt and the name signing. trying on my shoes from zappos was exhausting — it turns out that the shoes i ordered were the shoes i wore to lisa’s wedding and then donated because they didn’t fit me comfortably. (note for the future: fitzwell’s “double wide” is actually very narrow, and their shoes run about a half-size small.) i finished i am j by cris beam (d picked me up an arc at bea) and it was exhausting, and now i’m reading mockingjay, which is also exhausting, although for different reasons.
and the cats are all on my nerves.
