I am astonished every time I am allowed to hold the baby. I am pretty sure that if I had one of these things, I would never let anyone else touch it.
Around 8 pm, my throat started to hurt and my eyes started to burn, and by the time I got home around 11, my voice was gone and my eyes were tearing. The pollen count is out of control, and even though I’ve never been allergic to anything before, I remember this time last year when I moved here, I had terrible allergies, too; tomorrow I think I’m going to hit up the walmart for some Allegra, because Claritin is useless.
This is a picture of them playing “Spit the Dark.”
After the show, I bought an Empires t-shirt, and got two hugs; instead of lingering, we just got in the car and drove back to CT to crash at Sarah’s apartment.
That was my third Empires show and it was amazing. Their music is awesome. I cannot wait for the new album in June, not just because it’s new music but also because Sarah and I have made a pact to just get in my car and drive to every single show on the east coast. Possibly we’ll also follow them out to Chicago, but definitely not past there. I’m not driving to Nebraska or whatever. I have limits. (LOL.)
(Tonight, several friends and I went to see Empires. I saw them last week, too, and it was so fucking amazing. Tonight was also amazing.
Friends drank, but I was happy to be the DD, especially because I was foolish and awkward enough when I was trying to talk to the band, omg, no need to add alcohol into the mix.)
